This incident, stemming from an assassination attempt at a Butler, Pennsylvania rally, has been surrounded by controversy with conflicting reports about whether Trump was hit by a bullet or shrapnel.
Eyewitnesses reported seeing Trump at a high-end tactical gear store, perusing various models of shrapnel-proof vests while engaging in animated discussions with the store’s staff. The former president, never one to shy away from dramatic gestures, appeared keen on ensuring his future rallies would be as bulletproof as his political rhetoric.
“With all the talk about whether it was a bullet or shrapnel, I thought it best to be prepared,” Trump was overheard saying. “The FBI might be confused, but I’m not taking any chances.”
